Lars Jansson (b. 1951) — Piano, Keyboards. Led One Poem, One Painting, Giving Receiving, What's New. Worked with Anders Kjellberg, Lars Danielsson, Paul Svanberg.
Born in Orebro and trained at the Gothenburg Academy of Music, Jansson spent the 1970s behind other Scandinavians — Arild Andersen, Radka Toneff — and only made his own trio the centre of the work in the 1990s. In 1998 he became Denmark's first professor of jazz, at Aarhus, and Hope took a Danish Grammy in 2001. His chords keep starting to modulate and then returning to the place they did not leave. He also keeps the same personnel for years at a time.
