Russell Malone (1963–2024) — Guitar. Played on Habana, Jazz in the Key of Blue, Finding The Right Notes. Worked with Roy Hargrove, Jimmy Cobb, John Webber.

Inspired by George Benson at 12, Malone went on to work with Jimmy Smith, Harry Connick Jr., and Diana Krall. He shared a Grammy with Roy Hargrove for the Latin album Habana (1997). For over 30 years he led his own recordings and was treasured for his warm, lyrical guitar voice before his death in 2024.
