Melbourne-born vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter. As the front of future-soul collective Hiatus Kaiyote, she crafts a complex, sensual sound that crosses neo-soul, jazz, and funk.
Hiatus Kaiyote frontwoman Nai Palm released her solo debut Needle Paw on October 20, 2017 via Sony Music Masterworks. The album is built almost entirely from her own guitar and vocal arrangements, including covers of David Bowie and Jimi Hendrix.
In late 2019 Hiatus Kaiyote travelled to Rio de Janeiro to record string and horn arrangements with legendary Brazilian arranger Arthur Verocai on "Get Sun." The session shaped the entire vibe of Mood Valiant, released June 25, 2021.
